Question Here is a "bad" idea....................

correct me if I am wrong (more than likely) but,
Subaru hasn't gone and changed the chassis itself have they????
I would bet, in the name of cost reduction, the new 2002 has the same body mount locations on the chassis for the: fender, hood, bumper, trunk, etc.

What would stop me from mounting 2001 parts on a 2002 chassis??

I know, I know, it sounds rediculous, but why would they go to all of the trouble??

oh yea, they widened the track; big deal, slap on the 22B fenders from Austrailia or UK and be done with it

maybe I am crazy, but maybe i have something...

I'm guessing it would be cheaper to put the new engine in the current model anyway.
