Question anybody familiar with Fry's car audio selection?

here is my dilemma:

i think i blew out one of my front speakers...no worries...they suck anyway

i've been wanting to start slowly with car audio upgrades...so i was thinking now is a good time anyway to get a set of front components

i sort of want a set of CDT components, buut i have a $100 gift certificate to Fry's that could help out with a set of components.

Anybody familiar with Fry's selection? They carry Polk-Momo, infinity, i think Rockford Fosgate, Sony, and probably a few other brands that are not impressive.

I would use the gift certificate to help towards getting a headunit, but I am leaning towards an Alpine headunit, and they don't carry Alpine.

What do you think I should do? Has anybody gotten a set of quality components from Fry's? Any models of the brands listed above that are good quality?

Any help or suggestions are appreciated, thanks

I used to work at Fry's selling car stereos in woodland hills. You wont be able to get components there for $100, and they dont cary fosgates. Both Polk Momo and Infinity are good brands, but I will let you know right now that they will not fit into your doors without spacers and/or custom work to your door panels. I'd recommend getting all car stereo parts online or in a small car stereo shop, because since Fry's is a major retail chain they need to follow MSRP and the mark up is insanely high, in some cases over 50%!
