Default Blitz DSBC Help?

I have a Blitz DSBC and i can't seem to get it working properly, any help me please?


PS: Where can i d/l a fix for this MSN virus.

make sure your not using any stock subaru vacuum lines except at the little T section where there is a little pill (metal restrictor), which from my experience, is neccessary to make boost with that ebc. An elaboration on how your car behaves when this is installed would help......does boost stay below 10 psi when connected? Does it not control boost at all? ......

Hi guys, I've got some problems with my Blitz SBC-Id boost controller which I hope you guys can help (maybe its similiar to the original poster's query).

Recently I swapped my TD04 for a VF37. But since I'm running into some problems with my boost levels. I keep getting boost spikes very frequently (up to 1.5 bar before the CEL comes on even tho my setting is 1.1). I'm not using any EMS or Ecutek. Why is my limiter function on my boost controller not working?

After talking to an ECUtek tuner, he said that the way to prevent boost spikes is to tune my boost contoller by setting my desired boost level, say 1.1 bar and drive normally and full throttle at gear 4 till my max RPM range. If I still hit boost spikes, I need to tune my gain and other settings on the boost controller.

True enough, once I had done that, I do not have any boost spikes. But my max boost now is limited to only about 0.7-0.8 bar (even though my setting is 1.1 bar). Basically its the same as if I had turned off the boost controller.

Hope you can clarify my doubts...

OK, the little brass restrictor thing was long gone, still got it though, i replaced the hoses when i did my MBC a while ago. So i should put the restrictor back in?

OK, been playing around with it a little. I mess around with the gain and ratio. Ratio is the one you set buy pressing the button and hearing a single beep? and gain is when you press it for 2 seconds?

I try it on 30/40/50/60 and mess around with the gain. Sometimes it will come on hard, others dead.

i can normally tell by the spool sound and the BOV if it is a good setting. High boost = heaps of noise. Still does not kick you in the ass like the MBC does.

I will try some more agressive ratios etc.


PS: These solenoids are noisy.
