Default subaru wave??

i live in the pittsburgh area and i've had my 2002 2.5RS for about 5 months now. at first i never saw anyone with my car, but recently i've seen two or three people w/ the new imprezas....maybe i'm just retarded, but i see when i see people with my car and i wave because i'm all excited to see others with my car....

usually i get a weird look or no look at all......i think only once someone waved back....but they still looked at me weird...

i think i'm gonna try to contain myself and not wave next time =)!

02 RS is the Impreza L line of the CG8 model ...most people dare I say 90%+ aren't into the car for performace or scooby nuts. They just wanted a good car for the snow.
But wave to the the CG8 Rs owners there is a reason we drive those cars, and most of the WRX owners are into cars, and scooby nuts.

basically 90% of pittsburgh subie owners suck
most bought the wrx because it's the hot car to have
most 98-01 RS owners don't wave back either around here
i'm starting to feel stupid when i wave and they look at me like i'm nuts..oh well

If you wanna see real subie enthusiats drive out to philly or atco next week

hey you got a black 02 rs also

I got mine the week they came out. Bought it over a 01 white rs sedan. I think I was one of the first on the i-club with an 02 rs

here's the thread with the other 02 rs owners

Unhappy very few rs's

I am like the only person in town w/an 02 RS.
There's a couple guys with old RS's, and new WRX's, but I'm the 02 RS Queen... ha ha

I don't care what kind of looks I get... when I see another subies on the road, I honk and wave... most people around here do the same, except for some older folks w/wagons... they just don't know what's up.

Come to New Jerz... most of us are nice... ha !

Thumbs up

A wave is a personal greeting, when seeing it from a stranger most people will think "Who the hell is that, do I know them?".

A thumbs up signal from one Imprezza owner to another is much easier to interpret.

If someone waves to me, I'll wave back. I probably wouldn't initiate "the wave" though

This is just like when I had my Jeep back in '92. All these girls in Jeeps were waving at me....here I thought I was cute...then I noticed guys waving.....got a little scared , figured out it was a Jeep thang. Actually, the Jeep got me quite a few phone numbers (females!)......ahhhhh to be in high school again.
