![]() I thought I would do this for all the DIY'ers out there.
I have seen multiple thereads as to "where is this wire yadda yadda blah blah" 12 VOLTS White 4-pin blue plug at steering column + IGNITION Green 4-pin blue plug at steering column + ACCESSORY Yellow 4-pin blue plug at steering column + STARTER White/black 4-pin blue plug at steering column + KEY SENSE White/red In 2-pin black plug at steering column + TACH SIGNAL Blue/white In brown plug behind battery AC LOCK Red/white In white 20-pin plug at Body ECU - UNLOCK Yellow/red In white 20-pin plug at Body ECU - DOORPIN Yellow In 16-pin connector at keyless entry module - TRUNK PIN Yellow/red In 16-pin connector at keyless entry module - TRUNK RELEASE Manual release BRAKESWITCH White/black At switch above brake pedal + PARKLIGHTS Orange In main black harness at steering column + HAND BRAKE Pink Below handbrake in center console - HORN Green/red In black 5-pin plug at steering column - CLUTCH SWITCH Green/yellow At connector above clutch pedal TYPE 2 DRIVER WINDOW UP Blue/red On back of window switch in driver's door REV POL DRIVER WINDOW DOWN Blue On back of window switch in driver's door REV POL PASSENGER WINDOW UP Red/blue On back of window switch in driver's door REV POL PASSENGER WINDOW DOWN Black/blue On back of window switch in driver's door REV POL VSS WIRE Green/yellow At cruise control module pin 19 TYPE 2 Clutch bypass Indicates a wire that must see ground during the crank cycle to engage the starter. Pin 86 goes to the starter wire and pin 85 to a ‘ground when running’ output from your remote starter. This Wiring is typical on all 2002-06 Impreza, wrx, sti For more detailed info PM me.

![]() my 06 wrx tr doesnt have the same.. the 4 pin wires are :black, black/blue,black/yellow,black/white.. and most of the other wires are different.. am i just seeing this wrong or is it different?

![]() look at the other side of the plug. I looked the stuff up my database and it shows all the same. I cannot confirm the 06 stuff yet, as I have not seen one up close.

![]() ya i checked it out.. theres not really a way to get to the other side of the plug because it sits soo deep under everything and the yellow loomed wire(scary airbags) is wrapped around it so im not going to cut the sleeve its in..

![]() As an Installer i would'nt suggest DIY's attempting to install their own remote starters especially in a car with a standard. unless you've see a couple installed cleanly i wouldn't recommend it. i've had to fix some cars where people have wired things wrong and burnt wires, lock modules, and computers. not cheap.
