Five Subarus later I
drive a lifted TJ.

Question Would i be nuts to rebuild a pair of heads and put them on?

so i've got the knowledge to do it, and my current valvetrain sounds like it has marbles in it's harbls at 30*F and below, and there's always a light knock. it's been like that since shortly after i got the car, and i don't think it's a bad thing, it's just that my lifters need to be shimmed again... and ask me if i wanna do that...

at that point i'd rather put rebuilt heads on it and new head gaskets and never have to worry about a thing. that also means pulling the engine... and maybe i should wait till it's clutch time?

there's also the thought process of if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

whatty'all think?
