Can the guy with the STI axel back please post a video/sound clip? I'm really interested how it sounds. There's one for $70 in the classifieds section here, I'm debating whether to get that or a $250 Prodrive Oval Tip.

Do you have a sound clip? This looks very interesting... btw this is my 2.5i I've posted it a few times now :P the STi axleback isn't that loud, to answer someone's question. It's not that loud over stock. It gives a nice bassy note in the low rpms though, between 1,100-1500 is it's loudest, if you're at 2k + you won't really hear it until around 4k or so [engine noise overpowers it but a rear seated passenger noted that my axleback was screaming]. It's a nice sound when you shift into neutral for stops... it sounds like your car is powering down! :P [when doing so it sounds like the exhaust is going from a high pitch to a deep low, then silence] Also there are a few different Meghan Racing universal mufflers... which model is it, and if sound clip is applicable, please do! Lease it, if you can. Subaru has such good lease incentives right now. I'm paying $150 a month for my 3.5 year lease, after which the buyout is only $9,500.

Ya, they got good incentives and Leases going on...So you have the option to buy or does the contract say you 'must' buy at end of lease? What options do you have on the car? |
