wow, insane torque

does the vf46 warrant an upgraded tmic?

i'm curious to see what a vf46 with the same mods would put down without the meth and on cali 91 octane

how would a vf40 fare in this application?

sick!!

on 91 cali gas only this would be a much tamer combination - my estimate is 280 TQ and 275 whp or there abouts

The meth is what allows you to push the limits on a small turbo like this

By no means am i trying to mock you... i am very serious and would like to do a full comparison of moon performance mustang dyno vs the ics dynojet... sometime in march perhaps?

the tmic on the 08 wrx and 05-08 lgt are the same. the end tanks on these i/c tend to blow apart at high boost levels. the only to options are an AVO TMIC and PERRIN. the perrin is larger, however testing showed the avo flowed better. the info is on http://legacygt.com. the vf46 is the same size as the vf40. the 46 has the new 5 arc scroll design and produces 5-10 whp more. again search legacygt.com. i feel for the time being, 08 wrx owners are best served search the lgt site for info. most lgt owners go for a fmic due to the tremendous heat soak of the lgt design.

Default 18g?

I am curious what this would have been like with an upgraded vf40-18g, easy bolt in turbo for less than $675. The vf40 turbos are easy to get cheap.
Dyno Flash any speculation on what this would do, power/torque?
Thanks
Mike

Hope the US MY08 WRX doesn't have the same 2-mass flywheel as the European one......... (otherwise it will explode soon)

it shares almost all the other qualities of the 05-08 legacy gt, so my guess would be it does indeed have that flywheel setup. Mine is currently in the pooper too , replacing it w/ act single mass flywheel and clutch.

I get heavy vibrations at everything above 260 TQ (below 3200 RPM)....... My experience with 2-mass flywheels is that they WILL break eventually if they have to cope with high torque. (the vibration is a "warning" that the torque is too high)

Mark.
