Default Which vacation destination?

Poll it up! Spring break this year.. March 20th - 28th are the days I have off school.

Things to take into consideration..

Airfare. Not the resort's, I'm getting a free week for me and my lady, just need to pay to get there. No I cannot unfortunately bring anybody else haha. Temperature in March (hotter the better). Activities/nightlife available for us younger than 21 still. Ocean that isn't too rough to swim in and not too cold either.

My only options are listed. I have about 2 resorts to pick from at each location though.

Do eeeeeeeeet.

I had originally planned on Puerto Rico, but airfare looks to be about $1,000-$1,400 round trip per person.... ouch. Something closer probably. So far not really wanting to go to Hawaii, my dad has Hawaii as a work territory so I can go there once a year with the fam. Mexico it seems is most likely.. but which city?

Thanks!

Haha, I've never heard of Zihuatanejo, Mexico so I voted for it. Cabo is overrated... Highly. Good news is that anywhere in Mexico the night life is going to be open to you kiddies. 18+ alcohol laws FTMFW.

Hmm, it's been a very long time. I hear Puerto Vallarta is sketchy.

+7 Plus it is hot and humid there, but if you're trying to save on airfare...

I have no desire to goto Mexico, Americans getting kidnapped in bars and walking down the street. Plus the law enforcement system is corrupt in Mexico. If you get pulled over or talked to by a cop about a ticket, they will ask you for at least $150 to get out of it and if you don't pay or have the money plan on staying in a cell with no phone call. So know one will know what happened to you.

true. my friends drove to mexico and they basically paid off a cop with all the cash they had between him and his friends in the car to let them go. screw that.

however. in a resort town that i will be flying to, taking cabs places. i'm really not worried about it. i've been to mexico 3 or 4 times and had zero issues. but.. just sayin.

Well if you go to Mexico, your age is not a restriction for night life. But the potential downfalls are swine flu, neck impalement, getting caught up in the dealings with drug dealers, Hershey's squirts, and the list goes on... Mexico, yup.

I use to go to Mex ( Baja) all the time for surf get aways. We always had to hide our money with the exception of what we were going to give the federalies. Last time I went to Cabo I didn't have any problems though. But I am sick of how things are down there. I doubt that I will ever go back. It use to be pretty cool and cheap. Not any more. If you do go, don't drink the water. That means no ice, no salads and brush your teeth with bottle water only. Unless you are staying at a 5 star resort. And even then use caution.

Ya dude, kona was amazing. On the boat out we saw a manta ray, while diving the guide's would pick up some of the wild life and let you handle it (tiny octopus and some other crazy ****), also saw a small reef shark. Water was like bath water and uber clear.

Every time I went to mexico I ended up in jail, with a gun in my face, high on drugs, ****ing hookers, paying off federalies, and too drunk to remember all the fun parts. It only took me 6 trips to learn my lesson. Go to hawaii and have a good time.

I love getting advice from people who don't travel I have been to all those places except your redemption site ha ha. My wife and I have gone to mexico twice a year for the past 3 years, and we own a travel agency. If you REALLY want to know you should give my wife a call/email her. They are all good spots depending what you plan on doing when you are there. The gulf side of mexico the water is warmer. Hawaii is too expensive. Cabo night life is probably the best (was there for sammy hagar's (SP) birthday last year)

I went to Puerto Vallarta on my honeymoon, stayed there for a week. We had a great time at the resort, but when we ventured into the city... I was not impressed.

We did the usual tourist things like walking down town, visting local shops, eating some non-sketched out food. Swam with dolphins and did some zip-line tour, both were pretty cool. If you're okay with being relaxed and chilling at your resort, go there. Or if you want a taxi cab driver to give you the craziest ride of your life....

However, I voted Hawaii. I think you two would enjoy that more. I have never been, but had a friend live there for a couple months and it sounds awesome.
