Default Spider vs. Lizard

Not sure if you can tell but the lizard is suspended in the spiders web.

That spider isn't big at all either.

Looks like a skink to me.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skink

And I imo if he is caught in a gimpy ass web I can't even see then he is sick and dying. Or is laying there as a clever ruse to eat the spider without doing any work.

The "skink" was alive earlier. Not so much now. He was living in that 1st picture.

That is one tough spider. Give it a few more weeks and it'll be spinning anchor chain instead of spider silk out of its backside.

I went to check on them again, they were both gone.

I think my roommate saw it and got freaked and killed the spider.

The skink could not be saved despite CPR.

We used to have lots of skinks in Virginia when I lived there. Never seen one stuck in a spiders' web though

In a year or so that spider could have been ready to take on Brock Lesnar for Heavyweight. Poor guy is lost before his prime

Sweet.

I updated the wikipedia page to say that spiders will eat them. Since it wasn't listed as a predator

Just found my roommate did not get rid of it.

So maybe the Skink somehow came back to life and escaped, or a bigger lizard/snake came and ate them both.

Or a kookaburra since I see that they eat skinks.

I would move out of that dwelling if there were spiders like that INSIDE.

I know I'm not the strongest person out there, but I think I probably could get myself out of a spiders web.
