Default parts vs. coilcovers for legacy sedan setup

If I do not go with the whole coilcover setup, will I not have to get springs, shocks, and...?
Then have a Mechanic put all this on, due to lack of tools?
I just think I would do better with a Tein S-tech (these are Eibach right?)soft springs. KYB/AGX struts setup. I only want to drop the car like a inch and use it for daily driver with some on-road racing.
Found this setup on another guys car, sounds fine.
