Man, your car is what inspired me to rock the Forrester setup in the winter time. I almost can't wait for it to get cold again!!! Great pic!

We get dry dirt every now and then but never a spot like that. That is a freaking sweet Rallyx spot

I just read the whole thread. It's inspired me to build one of my own.
These are my two favorites.

You make it sound so easy. Is it?

It actually is pretty easy if you go that route.

Yeah I have plans for a front tube bumper, after almost ripping it off I had to do some trimming. I'll post pics when it's finished but don't hold your breath because 2 jobs leaves little fabrication time.

My car is bone stock! 90k on it! Im not sure what direction to go with it yet! Part of me *i know i know* wants to slam with with some nice offset wheels. The other part of me really enjoys backroad riding and what not and wants to have more of a 'light' rally inspired set up. I do live in mid / upper Michigan and we only have 'nice' weather a couple months out of the year.

Only time will tell what happens to it, although i will say this thread does have me really on the fence about what to do with it! Some really awesome cars in here!

Here is my stock beast..

Subarus with added clearance have to be the most practical cars on the road. Pretty good gas mileage (avg. 25mph in my OBS), it's small so it can squeeze past stuff trucks cant, perfect for snowboarding and any other activities really, and now with my 5 inch lift it can go places I didn't think a car could. I know it's not a beefed up 4runner, but having about as much clearance as a stock one does wonders.

Picture time.
I like this clearance comparison, this was before I got bigger tires too which added over an inch of additional clearance. They used twice the amount of gas for the same exact thing too, but they're probably some rich family from the bay area so I'm sure they could care less.

Here are some pictures from a trip me and some friends took over the summer.

bonus points for spotting the propane tank

no trip complete without a slow leaking tire. glad i have a full size spare.

yay for narrow cars

I have to say, it's very entertaining when we were driving down the freeway and watching everyone laughing their ass off while they pass by.

Oh, and no camping trip is complete without crappy beer.

I'm not gonna lie, if I saw that driving down the freeway you'd get a big thumbs up....how many people went? That's a ton of longboarding goodness.

Rally bling all the way Chris. Michigan is number 1 rally state so you have to go that route. Sno*Drift, LSPR, Press on Regardless (POR) and the great RallyCross program in SE MI Plus your car will be so perfect for it's enviroment.

Throw some 15" rally wheels with snows for winter, all season for summer and you can go anywhere. You don't even have to touch the suspension, a couple of big lights, mud flaps, skid plate you'll be set. Come see me with the BRAID team at LSPR or Sno*Drift and I'll show you what I mean.
