Default Advice on how to craft a functional/aerodynamic scoop delete

Since I have a FMIC I have decided to get rid of the drag-creating scoop that no longer functions on my vehicle. I have considered a few options:

1) KS-tech mesh delete and Louvre plate

2) WRB stock hood

3) Keeping stock scoop and installing Oil Cooler

4) Custom hood scoop delete which will serve one of two purposes:
a) Aesthetic delete + allows heat to escape
b) Aesthetic and diverts some air to an oil cooler (jury out on the oil cooler as well)

Of course the easiest option is 3, the second best option is 1, but I would prefer to figure out to craft the most functional and aerodynamic scoop delete. I think the stock hood is a bad option, as the scoop creates drag. the impreza base model hood does not allow heat to escape the turbo area. the KS tech is not only expensive but also out of stock.

I have a local guy who will be able to craft something from scratch out of CF and other materials. I would greatly appreciate some help in figuring out how to fabricate a custom delete.
