They just see a WRB car with a loud exhaust and assume I must be a punk. That definitely was part of why I went with SWP for the BRZ. The galaxy blue is an awesome looking color on this car, the first one I saw in person was GBS and I was pretty close to switching. So far the only thing I'm really missing from my WRX is the sound of my Stromung exhaust and the cheap parts.
That's precisely why I ordered a WRB BRZ. My WRX was sleepy because of the silver paint and wagon body style, despite the JDM scoop, loud exhaust, and gold wheels. I feel like this car deserves the attention. I also disagree on GBS. Saw it in person the other day and it just looked DULL. Not classy, pretty, sleepy, or cool; just dull.

FWIW, I saw a Stromung prototype on one vendor's car. They're here on NASIOC and FT86Club, but I'd have to search to find the name. Allegedly Stromung will be producing an exhaust, but as you probably know, the headers will prevent it from sounding like a WRX.

So I took it for a drive last night with a friend from work - 4hrs in the mountains... got out and wasn't in the least bit sore (with the exception of my knee rubbing the center console on some bumpy stuff). I plan on taking a similar route tonight to get closer to the 800 mile marker - there's an Auto-x event this weekend and it'd be nice to break it in before that goes down.

I'll work on an arm rest next week sometime - I've been super busy with work and not a lot of spare time. But I'll mock it up this weekend sometime.

Thanks, I didn't know Stromung was working on something. I'll have to check it out. The stock headers are actually UEL and some of the aftermarket exhausts have a nice rumble.

I have to say it looks plain jane when it's overcast and is drizzling. But when you wash and wax it and take it into the sun, the amount of flake is simply amazing and the color really pops. the WRB is a beautiful blue, don't get me wrong - but here in a relatively small town, the cops will chase that car / color. I test drove an 05 WRB sti years ago, quite literally pulled out of the dealership, and had a cop blow a red light to follow and tailgate me within 200ft of the dealership. If I want attention I'll hop in my stupid loud MR2... but for day to day, I like to be a little more subtle. Then again, the BRZ will get attention once I lower it, put on some volks and never slow down for turns.

I will re-post after this weekend at auto-x. It should be 85 and sunny, providing some nice color.

They're more EL than UEL, at least compared to any WRX manifold anyway.

I live in metro DC. There's plenty of people going faster, but not many WRB...we'll see what happens. FWIW, the GBS FR-S I saw was out in the sun, it just didn't pop to my eyes. It's just not my color, nahmean? It almost reminds me of PBP, but without the awesomeness. Not trying to **** on your car man, haha.

^Are you sure the Scion comes in GBS? I didn't think the colors matched between the two.

Same factory, same paint codes. GBS = Ultramarine Blue. Though if we're talking 40K Ultramarines, the WRB is a closer match nerded out for a second there, sorry.

It's called Ultramarine on the FR-S. The only unique colors are WRB on the BRZ and the orange color on the FR-S otherwise they are identical but have different names.

It's probably like my opinion on the brz in red... to me, it just doesn't look good. I think if it was a darker black cherry it would look nice, but the current color doesn't do anything for me.

Yellow. They should have offered yellow. I'd be all over that ****. Something like Honda Rio Yellow, that LFA yellow color, or Ferrari yellow.

Ferrari fly yellow... with black wheels / yellow lip. That'd look bada$$.

or Bronze... flat bronze paint with black wheels. I would of grabbed that in a heart beat.
