I've been thinking about having a steel silhouette made. Last time I was at Top Gun there was a guy with his own that he set up between 200 and 300 yards. I looked into this and it looks like you need steel with a Brinell rating of at least 500. You can order some direct from the manufacturer, but it comes in huge plates. From what I have seen it would be easier, and probably not much more expensive to just buy something premade. It will far exceed the quality of anything you have made for the price. This is the one I am looking at getting. Probably with the pelvic target attachments just so I have a few more things to shoot at.
