Default AEM wideband reading nothing but 14.8

So i've had an AEM wideband installed for quite a while now and it seems the sensor might have died on me. For a while it would operate as normal for the first few minutes of driving then it would only read 14.8 or maybe 14.7 no matter what.

I'm assuming the o2 sensor has gone bad but I figured i'd check here first for confirmation before i buy a new one and bother to install it. I guess it's possible the wiring has come loose?

Also if it is going bad is there anything i can do to extend it's life a little? Like cleaning it somehow?
