Very clean race today! Didnt get to see it in person, but did get to watch live on TV, in car with Schumacher on the laptop and in car with Hamilton on my phone.

OK, for those of you who went.. what are your seating recommendations? I am looking to purchase MotoGP tix for next spring, and can't decide whether to get a seat or general ticket. Of course, if I get a seat, where?!?

If wanting to take pictures or be assured of where you will get to sit then buy seats in a stand. I had GA tickets so there was a lot of roaming but not a lot of "good" locations. I would recommend in order of favorites the front straight, turn 2-7 or turn 12-15 area. I lucked into MG seats for race day and dear lord it was phenomenal!

I was in the GA area of turn one, and I thought my view was great. Of the GA areas, it's definitely the best and I don't think you can really get a much better view with actual seats.

I was in the grandstands at turn 12 and thought those seats were incredible. As it turned out basically every pass happened at that turn coming off the main straight with DRS, so there was a lot of action.

After sitting there i'd say turn 12 or 15 are probably some of the better seats as far as action goes, althought i think sitting up on top of the hill at turn 1 would be really cool also, those tix were just ridiculous for f1.

Turn 12 or Turn 15 would be the best seats for a great view.

I was in T13 Trackside Suite when I got this pic, so 12 and 15 would give you similar views:

oh, and my seats from Main Grandstand allowed me to see exciting action in the pits...race action, not so much.

I agree. The view from the grandstands wasn't that good. If you are talking about tickets to a MotoGP event, pit stops shouldn't be an issue.

Ya, for only 4 specific organizations. It seems that it will not be open to everyone.

Info in the link to the jalopnik post earlier.

I could see the Porsche Club, NASA, and maybe SCCA being the others.

Awesome vid! Track must be hard on brakes with the speed you can get up too. You probably doing 150+ down the straights.

Hey thanks! Yeah I ended up geting a BBK in preperation. I hit about 125-130 down the main straight then you get on em hard. Though the track is so wide and flows so well, you aren't using them as much in the other parts. At least I wasn't.
