2007 STI Build With Borg Warner Full Race EFR TS 8374. UPDATE:NEW TUNE AND RUNNING
Im starting this thread in this section rather than the build because I will be updating with what the setup makes after the tune. If this needs to be moved please do so.
Below is the preface to when this build started...(End of September).Yes I have been driving my mechanic out of his mind. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2413025 Engine: - 2.5 Liter - CP pistons 100.5mm - GSC Stage 2 Cams - Eagle Rods - ACL main/rod bearings - Killer B Oil Pickup - R&W Enterprises Built Shortblock, ported heads, valves - ARP head studs - Gates Water Pump - Gates Timing Belt - Borg Warner Twinscroll Full Race EFR 8374 Turbo Kit - TGV Deletes (powdercoated black) - Full Race intake manifold (rotated) (powdercoated black) - Full Race phenolic spacers - Full Race Charge Pipes - Full Race Equal Length Headers - OEM Gaskets all around - Invidia N1 Race Catback Drivetrain: - ACT Stage 2 Clutch - Kartboy Shortshifter - ACT Lightened Flywheel Fuel: - DW 1200cc Top Feed Injectors - DW300 in-tank pump - Custom Fuel Lines done by FAST Auto The Full Race kit will be delivered Monday morning so I will be updating with pics of the full kit and what has been done. Im really interested myself. I love different builds that not everyone has. It's looking pretty sick so far. What kind of power are u hoping for?

Are you running the Full-Race FMIC? Have you mocked yours up yet?

Yes the entire full race kit which includes the fmic w reverse intake manifold. I will have pics of the kit come MondAy as that is when it arrives to my mechanic. As for #s....hoping to run a safe 500-550whp

Where the heads prepped with a scuff pad on a die grinder? Also, no alignment dowels used on the deck?

As promised....pics of the turbo....just came in today. Still missing the intercooler and charge pipes, trying to find out where that is

Slim...I thought the same thing..I could of swore that was the stock Sti TURBO. lol. Seeing it in person is a different story. It is literally a masterpiece..ha. I was told that it would be well worth the wait....but god am I antsy

What engine management? I read in the other thread that you were toying with sleeving, Why didn't you?

I will be using Cobb Engine Mgmt. Looking in to if I can run speed density with the Cobb for this. As for sleeving it basically came down to cost. It was an additional $1200 to sleeve it so I passed. I did not come across enough proof that the was the sure way to go for preventitive measures on the newly built engine.
