I enjoy not having navigation and skipping that entire evil section of the manual

Likewise...the dealer I got mine from had to travel ~1000 miles round trip to get mine....now they have 3 on the lot.

Drove by a different dealer today, they have 5 wagons and 1 sedan sitting on the lot. Up until December none of my local dealers had any on the lot longer than to meet the delivery for whoever ordered it or if it wasn't an order it was gone in less than 1-2 days.

I wonder if the factory finally caught up or not as many ordered '13s

I wish you could have gotten the 4.3 LCD screen radio optioned into the Sport premium. I didn't want the Limited mainly because of the leather.

So put an aftermarket HU into your Sport Premium. I went with one of the Pioneer double-din touch-sceen models:

Of course, my Pioneer head unit does jazz things up a bit.
I also completely agree with this. There is a reason BMW interiors look similar, more complex yes, but subtle, and similar. Just because you have technology in a car doesn't mean you have to make a complete clusterf*** of it. I really like that Subaru went for use instead of fake looks on this car too with the double din head unit. Now we can actually put good head units into it, which you can't really do with a lot of newer cars anymore. Cuz, you know, we need to be told how to think now or something.

Link to the head unit please? Does it fit in the stock premium dash properly, and does it work with the steering wheel controls and voice activated blabla system?

My understanding was that Japanese built cars in general were in short supply after the tsunami, and that things have finally recovered.

Here's the head unit I bought:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0072MZ63A/ref=oh_details_o06_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here's the XM receiver module:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009I96LC/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here's the module you need to make the steering wheel buttons work, but I suggest buying it from the member of this forum who sells them. His support is excellent:

I know this. But every one I've found was like 300-400 bucks. Stock radio for that much? Nah. I'd rather go aftermarket.

As for speakers, would one suggest the up level Subaru/Kicker ones, or just go aftermarket? All four doors, and the dash tweeters.

The kickers are decent speakers, but unless you ordered them with the car it is cheaper to go aftermarket as you only really need to replace fronts

for proper imaging you don't need to do the rears. They are 6.5" in the doors. Tweeters are 1"

I picked up a 1950's era Singer sewing machine for cheap and sewed a leather handbrake boot to go with my hand stitched leather shift boot. Only under the camera's flash did I realize the leather is brown.

Will try again with black leather.

any with spacers.

I only did the fronts and I am 100% satisfied with the sound and imaging. No reason to waste money

I know some people have replaced the "eyebrow" lights. Bulb 168, I think. Has anyone replaced with the PIAA Ion Yellow?

Bummer we are moving and I was hoping the service we get at Plano Subaru was standard.

Anyone know how the subaru dealers in Eastern Colorado rate?

Looks like Greely Colorado is the closest dealer to us. Hueburger is a bit further but considering we drive two hours now they are doable.

Thanks for the lead.
