Default front wheels moving more quickly that rears on lift

Brought the car in for what I suspected are output shaft bushings... Noticed while on the lift the front wheels are moving faster than the rears. A sign that there's some binding in the system and that the viscous limited slip is shot from overheating?

In other words, along with the bearings, center diff unit replacement?

It's possible, the biggest give-away is if you have a lot of front wheelspin on hard acceleration.

I'd go test it on gravel or a slightly muddy surface. If it doesn't haul and sits there for a second spinning the fronts you'll know. If it is the center diff, now would be the time upgrade, OEM broken comes out, upgraded stuff goes back in. After only 7-8 years I don't see how it could be worn out already, but if it's broken, it's broken.

without knowing all the details...on a hoist without load...as in on the ground is an inacurate way of checking the rear transfer/center diff operation. binding usually occurs when tire size or cd is worn...pm me if you find its the cd...
