Default Business recommendation: Tire Dogs in Lacey.

This place is pretty sweet if you have an AWD car that gets a flat that can not be repaired. My brother got a screw stuck in the tire on his '94 Legacy and drove on it too far for it to be repaired so I went out to Tire Dogs to see if they had a used tire that was close to the same tread depth.

Not only did they have one that was within 1/32nd of the old tire, but it was the exact same brand/model/size of tire and he split up the set for me since I only needed one. Good people to do business with and it only cost $48 with tax for a mounted balanced tire with 7/32 left on it, which saved a ton of money over having to buy all four.

I was BSing with the guy while he was mounting it up and he also told me that he has a tire shaving machine that he picked up and he just needs a piece for it before he can start doing that. So if you need that done go in and ask about it and get him moving in the direction of getting it up and working since I know the chain tire places do not do that sort of thing.

I'm not sure where this is supposed to go, it's not a vendor review so I'll just throw it up here. The place looks a little sketchy since you have to drive into the back area to park, but it's a quality place that can save you a ton of money. They also have their tires organized very well so it's not like you're sorting through piles of crappy old tires looking for that one that will work for your car. From the time I got out of my car until the time I left with it, it probably took all of 25 minutes at the most.
