Default JDM v7 sti swap questions

Hey guys so i just bought an 02 wrx that had a jdm v7 sti swap he was running the stock tranny and stock wrx intake manifold....he blew the engine...so i went and bought another v7 sti engine..what im unsure of is if hes was running the stock ecu since he had the stock wrx manifold? How can i now if it is the wrx original one? And if it is the original one, what do i have to do to make the sti intake manifold work?

You need to read and research the JDM 207 threads in the 2.0 section.

You could also pull back the carpet on the passenger foot area and look at the ecu you're running to see what ecu it is. Most likely the stock WRX ecu.
