No I just have the lugs bearly on there. Of course I'm running extended studs. And about 40 pages back it says a 5 mm is needed. To avoid confusion. The xxr 531 18x9.5 +35 needs a 10mm spacer to clear the front brembo calipers.

I'm just going to guess 245 40 18...or what ever the stock sti is.. u might still need to roll rears. But hopefully a pro will chime in

That size will be fine. A roll is definitely recommended. Personally, I'd go with a 255, coils, and a good roll. Wide wheels are great for wide tires

Can you do 255/45/18 on stock suspension ? With a roll and pull? And camber? Tomorrow i was going to get 245/40/18 for my 18x9.75+20 but if I can get away with 255 ill do it lol

You don't want 255/45's... You're going to need serious fender work to get a +20 to work with a 255 tire. A 255/35 would be the correct size, however you're probably gonna have to run a 225 or 235 to get it to fit unless you're willing on doing lots of fender work.

I have the same size tire, Michelin PSS, on my 527s in 18x8.75 +35.. I rolled my rears flat, figured I may as well while I had the roller, however with a mild roll you'll do fine on stock suspension. If you're lowered you'll probably need a more aggressive roll if not rolled flat like mine.

I'm jealous of the fender space on newer models. My 17x9 +30 wheels with 235/45 tires fit without a roll.

I bought my car about 3 months ago and i still haven't posted a picture of it anywhere other than my instagram, which isn't very cool. I saw this thread and i figured its time to post my car and setup!

2005 White STi on Chromium Black XXR 527's 17's on TeinFlex coil overs (I just went mind blank and forgot my offset) But my offset is pretty crazy. I had like negative 3/4 camber when i first got it, but I had some pretty bad tire wear on the front wheels especially and ended up having to get 2 new tires. I could see the metal through part of the tread. I believe the person i bought the car from didn't rotate the tires as much as they should have but either way the "stance" look causes awkward tire wear.

I got the car realigned when i put the tires on and took the camber off as much as i could. I still couldn't fit my wheels all the way under my car so I'm at like a negative 1 camber still. I definitely felt a huge increase in handling, grip, and over all performance with my new alignment and positive camber, and i know the new tires added to this performance increase but its still a noticeably different feel riding on more of the tire with the positive camber. I love it.

I was thinking about selling my wheels to get wheels with less of an offset and a different look but I'm starting to love my XXR's. Im thinking about painting them flat black though. I think that would look better than the chrome black. But if i top sell em ill be sure to post em on NASIOC's F/S thread and ill mention it in this thread as well to let anyone viewing who might be interested.

Btw, i love all of the cars in this thread! Some great looking scoobs in here on XXR's!

Yes it is a much taller tire. If you have an STi the car would actually benefit from the taller tire giving you taller gearing, though most of us would prefer a tire/wheel setup that is as close to stock as possible in terms of diameter. A 255/35/18 is 25.03" tall, while my stock tire was 235/45/17 which is 25.3" tall, therefore making my gearing slightly shorter for my 5spd.

A 255/45/18 for reference is over 27" tall... Which is massive, not needed, and will severely affect your speedometer and other driveline components

235 I would imagine, maybe even a 225 if it's a 'wider tire' as some are.

If it's a 235, it would probably be a 40.
