Technically 2008 forester sports wheels, to prevent people from getting confused. There were a couple of different models offered on the forester sti, and those weren't one of them.

Anyone able to verify if the 2011 WRX wheels (not STI) in post #3, are made by Enkei?

Yes they are. Not sure why that matters though.

If you still have the unmounted wheel, the best method for this is to stand on the scale, then pick up the wheel (while still on the scale), and subtract to find the wheel weight. Is this what you did?

Default Subaru Outback

I just bought a 2000 Outback and need some summer tires (only came with winter) and am also hoping for a 2nd set of rims so I can change them myself. I have two options at this point and am looking for some advice:

1) Head to the local wreckers and pick up 4 OEM 10-spoke 2000 legacy/outback rims (would have to be mismatched, 2 painted silver from another outback hatchback, and 2 painted gold from an outback sedan I think...)
2) Get some non-oem alloy rims ($300) offered by the local tire shop that will also mount the tires on.

I'm just wondering whether the newer alloy rims would be lighter and/or better quality? I could bargain but I don't think I'm saving much by going to the wrecker ($60/rim) and the cars have been in collisions which is why only two rims are salvageable from each. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
John

Buy the salvaged wheels, paint them (insert desired color here) and use them as winter wheels. Once you buy the tires the mounting and balance fee won't be too expensive, so just expect an extra $50 onto the price. You'll end up saving more and know you have a setup designed for the car.

That is to say if you know the wheels are straight after being in a wreck. Make sure to get them checked out.

This is not a questions thread. It's only a list of OEM wheel specs.

Here are some wheels I just picked up off a 97 Impreza at a junkyard. They look strikingly similar to the Legacy Outback wheels Bikelok posted above:

"97-98 Legacy Outback
6 spoke
15x6
+55
Approx. 17 lbs."

From a GC Impreza
6 spoke
15x6
+55 offset
Approx. 16.5 lbs each

That they were, they looked much worse before I cleaned them though. They weren't cheap but not pricey either. There's another set of 95 Impreza optional alloys, same specs but a 5 spoke I may be picking up from someone this weekend. Haven't seen a picture of them on this thread so if I do buy them I'll update accordingly.

Those wheels were the best import Subaru ever sent over to the states as "extra bonus" stuff. I miss mine. And I'm very surprised they weren't shared on here before.

Me too. Yea, I love the extra STI swag that came stock on this car. STI lip, STI wheels, better headlights and taillights.

I ended up grabbing that second set of alloys. Haven't seen these on the thread at all so thought they'd be good to add.

Factory Option from a 95 Impreza
5 spoke
15x6
+55 offset
Approx 14.5 - 15 lbs. each.

Can you guys also put the color code for each rim? It would be nice to know the color in case we need to do touch up paint on it. I had to do a curb rash repair on my 2013 sti enkei and i did not know the color. So i pick one that was close to it. Turns out the color was a bit different.
