The GR really is easy to take apart. I can have the front bumper grill and headlight out if one in 15 min. Now if only my forester was that simple

So I recently purchased my first Impreza, its a silver 05 wrx wagon, basically stock. Any Southeast PA owners on here? More specifically, anyone in Southampton, Warminster, Warrington or nearby? I've seen a bunch of beautiful Imprezas around, even driven with a few, so I'd love to get in touch with some local enthusiasts!

anyhow

I spotted a white 5dr (I think it was a 2010) on 422 yesterday going thru Robesonia. We exchanged waves.

There was also a WRB blobeye I see every drill at FTIG in area 1.

WRB Blobeye with rally bumper lights on the front, passing by Universal Athletic on 272. looked and sounded great, though I was in the wifes car.

So, my dealership says I shouldn't have the oil changed until 5000 miles. This would be my cars first oil change. Should I wait, or just take it in anyway. Just about at 2000 miles now. And sorry for not having this in the correct location but I prefer to ask the local guys.

U can change it now, but I would personally wait until 3000 at the least.

I do mine between 2500-3000 can never be too safe with oil changes

I saw you the other day on 30, hi. I have a straight pipe among a lot, so it's hard not to hear me

I did my first oil change at 1500. Then again at 3000. I currently do ~5k intervals on a pretty robust 5w40... but probably 90% of my driving is highway and I'm not romping on it all the time so I'm not too hard on the oil.

I checked a few days ago, and after about 4750 miles it's still amber, and full.

As long as you use good oil, dont beat on the car while it's cold, aren't burning any, and aren't racing, you should be fine to run around 4000-5000 OCI's.

Keeping an eye on your oil is key.
