I'm guessing he doesn't have everything you need to install it, as he used all that stuff to install the 19mm STI bar.

I was in the same situation. I installed an STI bar, and the guy who bought my original 16mm bar had to buy the end links, appropriate bolts, clamps, and so on in order to complete the installation.

His bar probably includes the 16mm bushings that you'll need, as his STI bar probably came with 19mm bushings.

I have installed 19mm STi RSB, feels much better, it took me about 30 mins to get it installed on the ramp.

If anyone looking for Stock Premium pkg 16mm RSB, let me know.

Hi Guys.

I'm looking to install an STI 19mm bar in the back. Will be buying all the OEM endlinks, bushing, nuts and bolts. Would anyone be as kind to help me out with the torque specs? I don't have the shop manuals. If no one has exact torque specs, would I follow the STI shop manual specs or the regular base Impreza specs?

On Craigslist there's a 2013 wrx low mileage 19mm OEM rsb near me with end links. What should I offer?

Where is everyone finding 19mm bars to convert from their OEM 16mm bars for $100?!?!?

I can't find that price anywhere.

Alright, and a follow up question:

If I already have a 16mm bar, which of those parts do I need exactly for the conversion? 1 2 and 3 I presume, but not 4?

What would make more of a difference in how fast I can corner, tires with a lower aspect ratio and stiffer sidewall, or a rear sway bar?

Are you dissatisfied with your cornering speed right now? Do you find the car breaks traction now?

I didn't before upgrading my RSB. The car stuck to the road very well. I just didn't like the amount of body lean, so I upgraded the RSB. I don't think I'm cornering any faster than before, but I like the flatter body roll now.

But perhaps you approach the car's limits much more-so than I do, so your results might vary. I've never pushed the car hard enough to make the tires squeal on a dry road.

I go around ramps at the maximum speed I can before I'd slide off sometimes (obviously when there's no traffic) which happens to be ~46mph but I find Toyota rav4s keeping up with me sometimes. A small car with a low center of gravity feels like it should be able to take ramps at 65 with warm tires. Maybe even 75 with a huge rsb and stiff ass summer tires.

so is the wrx RSB 19mm also or just the STI? I would think STI would have 19mm and WRX 16 just like Sport.

My advice: Get the sway bar now, get better tires when your current tires wear out. That's what I'm doing.

I'm not sure how much the sway bar increased my car's limits, but it definitely made it much more predictable and controllable around the limit.

Do you recommend getting the stock swaybar from the WRX/STI or getting an aftermarket one that is an upgrade to WRX/STI? I wonder if quality would be better with aftermarket 19mm swaybar?

Do you have a rear bar right now? And what tires, the stock yokos are not good at all for handling.

How often do sway bars break? I broke one on my Buick (34mm bar!) But it wasn't the bar, it was a weld where the endlink connects, and that was after 150k of my driving

150k is reasonable for something like this to break. That's why if you buy a used one off a wrx/STi you should get super low mileage. It was almost certainly beat up.

to clarify; I meant as far as better for performance not just qualify

I don't know if the $$$$/performance ratio is as good. I would love to try out a 22mm bar, but financially it didn't make sense since I spent 90 for a brand new sti car, and after changing the tires it really shines

What parts other than the RSB itself fit the 2012+ imp coming from the 08+ wrx/STi?

Hm, I have premium impreza and installed 19mm rear sway bar about a month ago.

Also suspension is lowered with Epic Engineering springs.

Recently noticed that I am getting clunk noise from the rear when I make quick turn or go over the bump with either passenger/driver side only, like only one side is going over the bump.

Checked under the car today, couldn't find anything but took off the sway bar and drove for a while, then no clunk.

Is it because my suspension is lowered and stock endlinks are too long for it?

Can I use aftermarket endlinks which fit on 08+ WRX?

Thanks!
