I just wired up my MapDCCD the other day and put in where the ashtray was on my bug.
Just curious where/how you're going to mount yours?

Yeah, that's where it will go. I would suggest taking the light bulb out or unplugging it or it will shine down on the top of the MapDCCD and be kind of annoying...

Ha! I haven't used the actual ashtray in years. I found a few fuel receipts when I pulled it out. Wired up the Map and everything with no battery so completely forgot about that light bulb.... With that being said no light shines down on mine. Just the LEDs from the front.

My brother's has some light. I think it is due to how it is mounted. He unplugged the light when installing mine. How did you actually mount yours? I am looking for suggestions.

I used some scotch mounting tape. Two strips running across the top front to back. Pushed it in to the hole (no comment) and stuck a wedge under it to force it against the top. Let it sit while I wandered around for a bit so it would adhere well. It seems as tho it's better as far as mounting than I've seen with the dccdpro doesn't need to be epoxy'd in for it to work well.

Update from Saturday:

Yellow Bugeye getting an oil change.

Lows in the single digits called for the heater to be turned on.

Start of the night.

Tranny fluid. Fill on the top.

Wait for it to come out the side (no dipstick on the newer 6MT's).

Notched the stock heat shield for the wastegate arm (already modified to fit the downpipe).

Wrestled the TMIC back on. Engine bay basically done.

Hood back on, wheels back on, car on the ground, and garage finally cleaned up!

3 cars parked inside for the first time in quite a while.

All together and on the ground.

All done except fuel lines to the FPR because I bought the wrong size.

Found fuel lines in one of my boxes and put them on the next day. Mounting point worked out nicely. Used the 02-07 oil fill neck to allow for clearance.

4 bar MAP sensor.

GrimmSpeed MBC and vacuum line setup.

It looks waay bigger in pictures! But it is definitely nice to be able to part 3 cars indoors.

Car started up last night. Still some kinks to work out before tuning. Hopefully soon.

Yes, the garage is awesome! I have a 3 car as well, but it still seems too small.
