Beautiful marker. Im really digging those new ninja tanks as well. Sadly, I sold off all my gear. Too expensive of a hobby for me.

Who's your friend? I know GP from being affiliated with Vicious at one point before their blowup, and know a few guys that play for him currently

Do you have anything to say comparing this turbo to your old 20g XTR? I know the XTR made more power, and this motor has no AVCS but cams so it's not a perfect match, but its still worth asking!

The spool is hard to compare for the reasons you mentioned. It is also worth noting that by the end the 20G XTR setup also had FMIC, EL headers, and EWG. Oh, and the 5MT vs. 6MT make the plots look a little different depending on what gear is used (I still need to do a 4th gear plot with the new setup).

I was going to try and do a plot of the initial 20G XTR tune vs the initial TDO06SL2-5371 tune but I didn't get around to it. I believe those were both at around 24-25psi and made very similar power numbers. I expect the 20G XTR plot will show spool up close to 500rpm's sooner but the top end is much stronger on the new setup.

I think that with headers and EWG and cranking the boost up, this setup should do at least the same power as the 20G XTR setup. I'm not sure if I want to put the money into this setup though. I'm thinking that for the first step I'll try more boost, with the current parts, and see what the results are.

Yeah, my bad on really falling short on everything that was different about your setups. Certainly a lot to consider but I think the differences you mentioned relies to much on bench math to compare.

And I for one always appreciate the hints you leave at your future plans...

I'll still try to compare. The top end shape on the plots is clearly different. The 20G XTR was dying off and this one holds power flat.

I'd explain that being the cams, but its a larger turbo as well. Just imagine what a EWG could have done here; dare I add EL headers citing your experience with them.

I love it so far. So great to get that visual feedback of how much it is locking. More to come as I use it more.

These seem to grip much better in this weather than the all seasons (similar size). Bugeye seats are great and the dampers do open super wide!

I drove the car to work yesterday and about 40 miles round trip today. Around 100 miles since the tune. It feels great. Temps are still around 0F so not much WOT. So far the mini battery has been starting it up great. Fingers crossed.

What do you mean? I have the such wheels with all season tires and the Forester wheels with winter tires. I had the stock wheels on bit then I bought the steelies with snow tires and put this on. I don't have any "nice" wheels or summer tires yet.

Nice build so far! I'm happy to see that you are back it again.

How are you liking the MapDCCD?

I put one in the wife's car last year as all it had was a manual dccdpro. I spent some time last winter dialing in a pretty fun/useful custom snow map for it that I never really got to use until yesterday. I set it up so it turns great (stays unlocked) and starts to lock up quickly and progressively with throttle and speed. As you enter a slick corner, the first bit of gas can bring the rear out a bit and then applying more gas adds lock-up and the car pulls nicely though the corner. I had a lot of fun with it yesterday.

Have you played with the mapping much? If you want to try my snow-map, let me know!
