Default Transplant 11+ STi OEM Bluetooth in to 08 STi

So I did a few searches but didn't find many details on anything.

I have an 08 STi with aftermarket radio that is dead. I'd love to just go back to stock (since I don't care about audio really), but I'd love to add the bluetooth + mic + steering wheel controls that the 11+ models have.

What all do I need for this setup? Thanks for any pointers or links to other threads that I clearly could not find

Unless all of the hardware is 100% free, its not worth the time/effort. You would be better off with any aftermarket HU, an aswc module and a wiring harness.

Wouldn't doubt it if you had to splice the stock harness for Bluetooth and you'd probably need to run a new ipod cable/module if you wanted to keep it (or if you don't have one).

Yeah, if you're going to spend money just buy an aftermarket unit. The Subaru HU sucks. You can probably do it, but there's no real point as it'll be just as much effort as putting in something that's a lot better (and it'll probably cost just as much anyway).
