Default Cross post: EGR removal with stock ECU

I want to remove my EGR from my 2.5 engine but I want to know if I just plug the selnoid and leave it if that will be sufficent. Wayne/wac used some stuff to try and avoid the code on his car but his was a 2.2 using a 2.5 ECU and never had the EGR selinoid to just leave in place. Any input before I do this would be apprecited.
