Hey guys. I just purchased a used racerx fmic locally and had a couple questions. I installed the unit but don't really see where the core bolts to? Also I have Cobb access port stage 2 + aem cai and catless downpipe. Will I be able to drive for a week or so till I get a tune. The car started up but after I took it down the street she stalled on me

Contact me at [email protected] and I can help you out. It maybe a leak or you need to adjust your BOV. Just email me and we'll figure it out.

I'm not a fan of FMIC's on Subaru's, but some look great in this thread (particularly the V8's). My 99 V5 STI Type R came with one fitted unfortunately, some of the stages its been through.

Just wanted to say thanks to Brian of Racerx for the quick response! He was able to help me over the phone and get my car running like butter!!!! I purchased the unit used so he really had reason to chime in, but that just shows how he backs up his product and gives chart topping customer service. Thanks again!

I have a 97L cover and am not worried about cutting it (more), my current intercooler won't support my goals. I like the treadstone designed for the 02-07 wrx and the APS 725, but not sure they will bolt under my hacked beam and clear the ground well. I'd hate to spend that much on intercooler alone and smash it accidentally. The treadstone is supposedly 10.5" high but not sure if that includes the welded on bosses.

Looks like one of those 12" tall cores, has it been ok with ground clearance? That piping kit doesn't look familiar, nice how it has few couplers. Does it fit/route well? I have a cheap piping kit designed for the 93-01 but had to hack it in several places to route and even bought a 180 for the driver side because the original wasn't sharp enough. Maybe they screwed me with a 02-07 kit??????

TurboXS FMIC here. Really contemplating on painting it black to change it up a bit. Any opinions on black painted intercoolers? From what I read, rock chips and repainting gets old.

Decade old Perrin FMIC. I also finally ditched the scoop and went with a different hood.
