Default Dual pump wiring question/Fp controller

Ok I need to replace my fuel pump and i acquire this unit, full blown dual hanger and 2 new DW pumps for free. Totally overkill for my current setup but i do have plans for 500+ E85 so i figure why do it twice. I posted pics of the hanger and wanted to ask if anyone has any exp. wiring this unit. The red and black are the no brainers, im just unsure what the other 4 wires are for and if they are used. i also want to wire these pumps with lower gauge wire to keep a consistent voltage(piece of mind) but i do not want to bypass the controller. i have also snapped pics of the FP controller(i hope) but i need help on how to connect the pumps to the controller. I will be buying a kit with relay but before i try this i wanted to ask the gurus. I did a search but came up with hardwire the pump bypassing the FP controller for 100% fuel pump operation,i do not want to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated. (application is for a 2005 STI)

Below are the pics i believe is the FP controller and harness.

Again thank you all for your help

At your existing fuel pump connector, you should have a Black wire, and one that is Black with a Yellow tracer. At the fuel pump controller, the Black/White and Black/Orange go to the fuel pump. Your red wires would connect to B/Y at the pump, or B/Or at the controller. Your black wires would connect to B at the pump, or B/W at the controller. Sorry, can't help with the other wires on your unit, as I'm not familiar with it.

Here's the thing, though. Obviously, your dual pumps will have to be connected in parallel electrically. The fuel pump controller varies the resistance (voltage drop) on the ground side of the stock pump. With dual pumps in parallel, the current draw is going to increase. I don't know what the current limit for the fuel controller circuitry is, so there is a danger that you could burn the controller out.

Very good point. I have one of these as well and have not gotten around to installing it. I might do the hardwire with relay at this point. Easy to remove i suppose.

It's great that Spambot was able to offer some help, but this thread belongs in Technical, not here.

Bringing this back from the dead, sort of in the same boat. I have a 2008 Wrx and had the connector on the fuel pump hanger burn up on me, figured if im replacing the hanger may as well upgrade so I sprung for a Full Blown dual hanger with 2x 340 pumps (originally was a single 340 pump on stock hanger). Just to get it up and running I by-passed the FPC unit and hard wired 1 pump leaving the second unhooked electrically. I know a lot of people use a hobbs switch for the second pump, but can a person use the FPC unit to control the second pump? Anyone have experience with this?
