1999 Impreza 2.5RS

Default XT and 6MT

I love the new Forester XT motor, and would love even more to swap it into my RS. I know the motor itself "should" be relatively straight forward, but would a 6MT fit right up, compaired to a USDM WRX or JDM swap? Anything glaringly obvious why it would or would not work?

Work... ahhh... so tired.


A motor swap is always fun but then add the tranny for a realy good/PIA time.... the tranny will fit with some "tunnel work"
