Old link to Carl's site which is no longer operational but you can see some of the parts http://www.carldavey.co.uk/product.php?id=2
Someone beat me to it, disregard this.

The only one I've seen done was on one side between the plenum and the runners (making one side of the plenum a bit bigger)

Default Phase 1 EJ25 dohc intake and to a Phase 2 EJ20 sohc

Thank you for offering those adapters.
My project was replacing an EJ 25 DOHC cam Engine with a JDM EJ 20 SOHC.
I thought I was doing really well until I realized that I was dealing with switching engines from Phase 1 to Phase 2. If these adapters fit and work. I will be very happy. And I can continue with my project. How do I order etc?

OP hasn't been on here for 4 years, and original post was 10 years ago

Probably easier to get a local engineering mob to make some for you

Default Phase 1 EJ22 longblock to Phase 2 EJ25 intake

So I found this thread researching if anyone has built (or tried to) an adapter plate so they can install an early 90's 2.2L engine in an early 2000's Subaru Outback. I would imagine if there was a way to bolt the intake from this 2002 Outback onto that 1994 2.2L longblock it would work. I have the equipment to construct one but figured why go through the headache of this if someone is already created it. Any thoughts or assistance would help. I found this thread and figured you guys are already on the same page and hence I have started with asking here.

I had some trouble sourcing a 96-99 EJ25 for an outback at my shop with a blown engine. All the local wreckers had the Phase 2 SOHC engines though, so I built the adaptor to make it work.

Just wondering if anyone is interested in these things. I could make more if needed. It could make engine/head swaps a lot easier.

Ok I seen your adapters. I need them the other direction. I have an 03 WRX 2.0 that I'm trying to put a JDM 1996 Forester sf5 motor in. This would solve my problem I think

In case you missed it, the post you quoted is from 11 years ago, and the person who posted it last logged into this site in August 2013. I think your friend is going to have look to someone other than sammydafish to get these adapters.
