How much do you think the out the door pricing will be for the 2018 WRX limited (without the HK/Nav upgrade) with STI Short throw shifter, Arm rest extension (debating this one) and Autodimming Homelink mirror if the tax rate is 7%?

For the 2017 Subaru WRX Limited with STI Short throw shifter, Arm Rest Extension, and Autodimming Homelink mirror; I was quoted $31,716.18 OUT THE DOOR.

You will not get a handbrake in the Limited. Just an annoying electronic control brake. Moon Roof Delete would be nice.

That's not true at all. All 6MT come with a manual handbrake.

As someone mentioned earlier, comparing out the door prices is worthless because of different laws regarding taxes. The best you can do is compare what you got versus MSRP.

Also, take that quote to two other subaru dealerships and let them haggle against each other. Don't do the haggling yourself. It'll go down.

Was going to just got to my usual dealership, but my sales guy I've been using for years is gone. Guess I'll be playing the internet sales department game for the lowest price. Honestly I'll just be happy with invoice on a pre-order.

That's what my goal is. Maybe try to compete for free options or something too

Yeah I went to my normal dealership to test drive a 2017, and as much as I respect them and want to use them, it's not worth it to me to spend extra cash on loyalty unless it comes with something. Currently they're offering free oil changes for as long as you own the vehicle but coming from an EJ, I feel like these oil changes should be way easier with that top mount filter.

If you buy it at the invoice price, it will cost you about ~2k more ($33,9xx) than your 2017 OTD quote.

Do we know if the Recaros are just rebadged WRX seats? From the pics I saw the seat bottom and side bolsters look identical to the base seats.

The moonroof delete should be an option on the Limited, not Premium, so you could get LEDs + no moonroof.

They are 80% different (made that up myself). If you look at these two pictures, the seat bottom appears to be the same, but the top is entirely different.

1) Headrest has a different shape, and Recaro has red piping (not stitching)
2) Shoulder/Lateral support is wider/flater on Recaro
2a) Shoulder/Lateral support on Recaro is fabric w/ red pipe/stitch, not red leather
3) Rib bolsters have a trapezoid shape on Recaro vs tear drop
3a) Rib bolsters on Recaro have red leather, not just red stitiching
4) Recaro base is electric, not manual slider.

Can someone confirm what the standard options are on a WRX premium if you don't get the performance package?

Same cloth seat from the 2017 WRX? Does the 2017 WRX still have the 8-way power front driver seat? Also, is the moonroof delete an option only on the performance package?

Premium has never had power seats, historically premium over base gives you the wheels heated seats sunroof and fog lights.

It looks like you want the same optioned car. The msrp of limited between the 2018 and 2017 increased $600. The invoice price probably went up ~$525 (I am estimating). I don't know all the details of your OTD price but it seem pretty good to me. Will the dealer offer the same deal plus the difference of the price increase, who knows?

Something else I just saw that I didn't pick up on before.

"power window with off delay on front driver and passenger windows"

I think that means that if you turn the car off with the windows down you can still roll them up with the car "off" for a period of time.

The 2018 premium should have foglights, all weather package/heated seats, sunroof, 18" wheels and 7" radio.

No sunroof delete, no power seats and the seat should be the same as the 2017 WRX.

Can you use the Key Fob to roll up or roll down the windows? That's a great feature in summer to let the heat out while walking to your car

Unfortunately, probably not. This is such a nice feature in the summer with my 4yr. old Infiniti. Nissan figured this out over a decade ago. I really wish Subaru would.

Never remembered to use it on my 2011 GTI. It was cool though.

I think more about 500-600 with the same options. We'll find out pretty quick here once pricing opens up. Got my email ready to goto 3 dealerships.

The GTI you had to stick the key in the door. A lot of Nissans allow you to roll the windows down with the remote so it can cool down before you open the door.

That post about $2k more was comparing a 2017 Limited vs a 2018 Limited + Nav

2017 Limited vs 2018 Limited is an increase of about $600

I had that feature on my '97 GTI VR6 and thought it was such a cool little feature. People in parking lots would look at you like you were James Bond.
