Not my favorite time to shoot. But I wanted to see what I could do with the sun beaming down as you can't always control the elements.

Some great shots in here every day. I'd like to take a second to ask everyone about scouting locations.

I find myself finding a nice back drop but always in a terrible parking lot or a place I can never imagine being able to park and shoot. Sometimes I'll find an interesting structure or backdrop but can't quite manage to find the right angle for the car. Any tips of types of locations to shoot, times of day/day of the week?

Guessing Sat/Sunday mornings are going to be a common answer. Earlier the better.

What does everyone look for when scouting or deciding where to shoot?

Thanks! I generally go in the evening around sunset and dusk time. Getting up early does generally seem easier to find an open area/less people/cars.

Where I live it always seems easier to use the sky or water as background. Usually a higher chance of less intrusions also. Honestly I just drive stop, shoot and move on. Sometimes it works out and sometimes not. Can't regret trying.

I usually just try to find an open space where nobody is around. This was at a park down in Redondo in a little cultisac(spell check lol?)

Oh and I know...reflections....I forgot to use my CPL which I need some practice with anyway lol

Then you can come in tighter and have a good backdrop...

Or use a parking lot with nice trees around....I should have cropped the car to the left out...but I'm not printing this so its fine for me
Probably the building too...

Google maps! Then I'll go to the spot and check it out (prior to a shoot obviously)

Quite possibly. Next to Mulholland, the is the most widely known driving road in Southern California. It's 70+ miles of windy roads and a popular spot for enthusiasts.

That RS looks real nice in white. Never thought I'd actually say that. Oh, sweet shot BTW.
