To be frank, we only get slow cars in europe, or atleast Norway, so 170hp is quite decent here. Cars in this range cost us about 45-50 000usd, a used 2015 WRX sti costs around 75 000usd.

Getting closer to being ready for paint! Both the rear quarters/doors have been bonded and have been blended. Still have some more mudwork to do though. But I'm going to get the rear bumper done first.

Getting that rear bumper to fit is gonna be a nightmare

What color are you going with for paint ?

Yeah I bought an 05-07 sti rear bumper with the fender arch (which I'll put on later) that I cut up and am fusing to the stock wrx bumper.

I've gone back and forth a lot in terms of paint! As of right now I'm leaning towards the plasma blue silica pearl that came on the 11-14 Sti. That's just a thought though, I still have enough touching up to do to buy me some time to keep thinking about paint.

Ahhhh , My bumper had to be chopped and modified to match the body lines of the sedan panels.

Sonic Yellow
Midnight Purple
BMW M5 Lemans Blue

All those are colors I wanted on my car but would have had to spend even more money.

Yeah I like those colors. But yeah you're right it definitely costs more. I'm going to paint it at my work but getting good paint materials is the most expensive part about it. If I just did the sedan rear conversion it would've been a little easier to deal with the bumper. But since it's an APR kit it's sooo much wider and I have to cut and add material in like 3 different places. I've been working on it for like 5 months now and I'm finally getting a picture on how it's going to look. But I've always loved your car man it's super clean!

Thanks !

Its a **** ton of work but worth it if you are keeping the car , I really considered doing WRC widebody but I would have had to spend another $2000 on wheels while probably ruining suspension geometry and increasing tire costs exponentially.

I am excited to see a well done WRC widebody wagon , Maybe if my car ever gets hit I will go that route or if I put it into the wall at the track

Hahahaha yeah forsure, I went back and forth too. If I could do it again I would make a mold and make the fenders out of steel, because fiberglass is such a pain and the way it expands and contracts is super different than the steel on a quarter panel. It's definitely been a huge project but I've learned a lot. Hopefully I can finish it fairly soon but I doubt I'll be done by the end of summer.

Washed and put to bed for the week.

Changed out the window trims for some black ones recently. I'm making it my mission to delete as much chrome as possible. These were a straight swap from the xv. Next up is the tailgate strip.

My bugeye that I am working on putting back together after saving from the wrecking yard. Has BC coilovers, Prodrive P1 wheels that I just put on, lots of STi parts, kartboy short throw shifter and more. Need to get a different hood but its coming along nice
