![]() My 2002 OEM Key fob for my WRX has been destroyed and my security system isn't allowing me to start my car. On top of this I do have a after market key fob but it hasn't been programmed yet can someone help me get back to Baltimore from North Carolina?

![]() I believe programming a new fob requires your key and instructions in the owners manual, may also be a supplement with the manual.
I'm pretty sure it s posted on here as well. |

![]() Unless I can deactivate the security system I can't program the after market key fob. All threads I've seen on here have not worked for canceling out the code that is preventing me from programming my aftermarket fob so far. Thanks though still looking for help

![]() The 2002 WRX does not have a chipped key - only the key fob.
If you don't have a keyfob, disarming the alarm is described in the owners manual Quote:

![]() Unfortunately, whatever is in the manual should be correct and is the best info we can offer.

![]() Ok so all the posts on here are not helpful. I have a 2003 wrx that I bought without the key fob and everything worked for about two months. Then all of a sudden the alarm went off, for three days I could figure out how to reset the system or disable it. No YouTube video helped and no forum did. So after a few hours of tinkering with electronics, I found that the ticking was coming from three places, the engine fuse box, the cab fuse box and by the e-brake. Well the first two were useless to me, I tried taking out the hazard horn fuses and the door lock fuses and it didn't work. But when I opened the middle compartment I found the security box, the little devil that made all my problems, all I did was unhook it and blam all fixed
