Today I got a quote from the body shop to replace the apron, and I have all the parts needed to put her back together once that's done.

Damn understeer. That tree came outta nowhere

Gave it a wash and threw on my winter wheels from my old XT. 225/60/17 will fit on a 17x7 +38 with no rubbing on a stock 18' WRX

Dealer installed mud guards (rear only - what? Why? - bizarre!), BSM & fog lights.

I'm now looking to buy some rubber front mud guards from CARID...

Cheers/B

Weatherproofed my billet shift knob. Bought it over a year ago and took it off during the summer because it gets too hot. Dipped it in clear Flexseal and then poured clear acrylic over it.

Replaced the HID bulbs in my bugeye. One burnt out on my trip from Nagoya, so I did both of them and kept the good one as a spare.

Took off 75lbs by removing my non-working A/C, the floor of the trunk, spare tire and some sound deadening material.

Replaced the original metal coolant tank with the revised plastic version. The stock one was cracked around the base that the radiator cap screws onto.

Went ahead and disabled the hill assist. I've gotten comfortable enough driving the car now that I feel I don't need it anymore. Hill-starts are the only thing that make me nervous, but that's also the last thing I want to master. Plus it feels like it's easier to accelerate the car with it off.

I disabled mine right away because it felt intrusive at the time. A few months ago I taught my wife to drive a standard and I turned it on after she learned without it just to make her more comfortable. After playing with it and learning where in the clutch release stroke it deactivates I’m actually really enjoying having it on. It still seems strange to me that when the car was new I had issues with hill assist, rev hang, and a noticeable power dip at around 4500 rpm and now I have none of that. Stock tune and 28,000 miles, I’d like to think I adapted but as far as the rev hang and lumpy powerband it would seem the car adapted. Dunno, don’t care, I dig the car.
