That log shows no overboosting and no boost creep. .5PSI over target is well within acceptable parameters- especially if it's that incredibly brief.
In the future you don't need to wind it out to 6700- the car is dead on power about 700rpm before that.

No need to go past 6k? Is that for this particular tune or FA20s in general?

If your car is dead on power at 6000 you need a new tuner

-2017 WRX USDm
- Stock with Stage 1 93 OTS - 6MT - 93 - Stage 1 Cobb OTS - Mostly 3rd one of them was 4th https://datazap.me/u/bubbaracing/log...?log=1&data=12 https://datazap.me/u/bubbaracing/log...?log=0&data=12 https://datazap.me/u/bubbaracing/log...?log=2&data=12 Let me know if you see anything out of ordinary. Sometimes I get what feels like timing being pulled but I don't think it occurred on any of these logs. I'm use to tuning ls cars with hp tuners but am new to the AP and wrx tuning. I just received TGV deletes but haven't installed yet. Are there nay OTS maps for the delete or only custom tuning. Thanks! |

Looks pretty standard for OTS, no knock in the WOT areas just some small FKL during cruise in one of the logs (unavoidable on OTS, normal).
We need need AFR logged as well as commanded to get a better picture but I have a feeling its probably swinging richer than commanded. If you want to run the TGV deletes get the EGR delete kit and do both at the same time. You will need a custom map to run TGV deletes, also a 3 port boost control solenoid (Grimmspeed) is recommended by most tuners. |

Is anyone in the process of getting an e tune from Mikey Botti?

I just recall them not tuning very well on flex and I also recall a MAF cable on an older unit that caused issues.

Delicious Tuning's MK2 can be used with Cobbs AP that any ProTuners can tune. Says that in the first sentence. DT's FF kit also has more features and BT integration for your phone. DT are also highly reputable tuners throughout the industry.

Oo I like the Bluetooth E content feature. I don’t run with my AP hooked up and that would be nice to do a spot check before refueling with an E blend. Would most flex Fuel tuners be able to use the DT kit if they can use the Cobb?
I don’t think I’m switching FF kits but I’d like to know the options |

Here's mine my final tune. Tuned by Ron at PhatBotti.
https://datazap.me/u/ayau/log-151927...og=0&data=9-24 2015 WRX EGR, TGV, GS EBCS 6MT 93 Custom e-tune 3rd gear Overall, I'm very satisfied with the tune. Power delivery is way more linear compared to stock tune. Can definitely feel the extra power. |

For someone that isn't experienced in looking at logs, what are some key things to look for when reading a log? What makes a good or bad log?

would love to see a COBB vs MAP tune comparison as well. I have a 2018 that I want to stage 1 but unsure of the reliability of the more "aggressive" MAP tune.

There's dozens of Map logs and dozens of Cobb logs. Just look through the 71 pages.

Both maps 93 octane, stock car.
MAP 91 STG1: https://datazap.me/u/gn4rwhals/maper...12-13-15-21-24 COBB 93 STG1 HWG: https://datazap.me/u/gn4rwhals/cobb-...24&zoom=89-525 Between these 2 the COBB 93 HWG tune is more aggressive but runs pig rich. |

There are many logs here and I have done plenty myself. I prefer the MAP tune but the HWG COBB v300 maps are just as strong. MAP is smoother for sure but I was getting too much cruise knock driving around with both. E tune eliminated that issue and it picked up a lot more power in the midrange. I would honestly be very happy with the MAP tune power wise if it wasn't for the random knock issues. I like this tune a lot.
