Not sure about anything more recent, but 11 months ago he was in treatment, staying sober, and skating more regularly again.

The story about him and Terry Kennedy beating the **** out of some random dude who was being racist on a plane was amazing.

that is absolutely sadistic, dangerous, irresponsible and disgusting in concept and execution.

Essentially what they are doing is torture and punishment. the damage that they are doing by their application method is INSANE. You can see the unnecessary trauma that they are inflicting just in the video footage. Skin, when being tattooed properly DOES NOT REACT LIKE THAT.

What that looks like to me is two kids that used to kill animals, coming up with a way to get their jollies out without going to jail.

That makes me incredibly angry.

It isn't a rite of passage. It isn't some spiritual ritual. it isn't a "project". It's a crime.

Whether being tattooed via traditional tebori, or via traditional Polynesian methods, I have NEVER experienced that sort of heavy-handed, masochistic, complete lack of empathy for another human.

And yes, I've spent over 300 hours being tattooed via tebori.

I spent roughly 2 days being tattooed on Tonga via the traditional "tapping" Polynesian method.

The healing process with tebori is far less painful, granted the artist has been trained by a proper "master" ( which includes understanding how the body will react to the tattooing of certain body parts, and knowing the "build" process of total coverage.

Polynesian tattoos when done in the traditional sense are a MUCH harder heal. There is more trauma. The applicator of the tattoo will generally follow tradition, in which the pain inflicted during VERY specific designs ( based on the meaning) is part of the process, and has been for 2,000 years.

CN: why do white people have to **** up a tradition and pervert it?

Those guys should be in prison, not ****ing up new "customers" and preying on their mental illnesses.

The way you look at them is how a lot of people without tattoos probably look at you.

No one is being forced to be there or misled about what is going to happen to them though so I'm not really sure why it should be a crime.

some domestic partners probably enjoy being knocked around, but it is still a crime, regardless of how the individual feels about it.

they may not be forced, but I'd argue that they are not of sound mind nor body.

I'm 100% certain that there is a huge difference between traditions that span dozens of centuries and overt mutilation.

I get your attempt to create a debate, but i don't buy in.

The same was that body piercing is very very different from "elective amputation" ( which is considered mutilation in all 50 states), this "project" is not art, nor anything else positive. it is 150% mutilation and appalling.

It's a crime if it's not wanted. A common thread, from my limited exposure to law enforcement, is that "being an idiot is not a crime." Everyone has their own commentary behind this with a lot of them not knowing being an idiot used to be 'treated' in hopes people would stop being idiots or at least prevent idiots from breeding. Maybe this hit too close to home for someone and society doesn't so overtly try to remove idiots from itself between reasons of being too subjective what an idiot is and a realization they're idiots too.

Don't know. Don't really care. I don't really have a hard and fast problem with idiots. Some of my best friends are idiots but I wouldn't invite them into my house, we're all stocked up here.

I don't know the specific laws of their country, but it's usually not as simple as "inflicting pain on someone is a crime". How could anyone engage in the BDSM lifestyles that many enjoy if that were the case?

It appears the amount of people that actually did is very low. Every single person involved is probably mentally ill. But I don't see who the victim is in this scenario. Is your issue the pain they suffer through or the disrespect to what you view as sacred art forms?

While amputating limbs may be illegal all sorts of other brutal body modifications like implanting horns, splitting tongues, gauging lips, etc. continue to be performed at least semi-legally.

Ford is represented by the blue water/ice/hair flowing over the others.
