Default 2019 sti build 507awhp!

So I have a 2019 STI that I'm building. For now I'm going full bolt on as there really isn't much info out there on how much power the refreshed pistons can take. I'll go stage 2 IAG closed deck later. For now my goal is a reliable 400awhp on stock internals. Even if the car can safely take 400+ im shutting things down at 400 as there is no reason to trash the stock block. All parts are still rolling in and I have yet to tare into my car. My question is am I forgetting anything?

Yes, I already have most all parts for my suspension as well. Still need coil overs and rear adjustable lower arms. Replacing all bushings with super pro and also I have a DDS driveshaft.

Congratulations, you have inaccurate sensors.

Try and fight physics, I'm sure it'll work out great.

These are the same sensors used to measure before and after ***129335;***127997;****9794;***65039;

As far as I am concerned this is accurate. If someone can help educate me then I am open to that.

An air to air intercooler cannot cool charge air to a temperature colder than ambient, its just not possible. The absolute best you can hope for with an air to air intercooler is to have charge air temps be equal to the ambient?temp. Just think about it, say your charge air is 110*F and ambient temps are 73*. How does 73* air cool the charge air below 73*? It cant.

Intake manifold temp and intake temps are what you want to compare. The ambient temp on the dash isn't using the same intake sensor and will always read lower than intake temp.

So I'm thinking abt swaping my Cobb intake out for the 18-19 AEM intake. Looking like the map sensor is now inside the box on the aem and filter looks much larger. Anyone have any feed back on this?

MAF*. You probably wont see any discernable difference in performance.

I have to disagree as well, you will never get below ambient with an air-air intercooler. It's just not possible, the laws of thermodynamics say so.

You can expect the ambient temp to be higher if you were sitting and the sensor is heat soaked (the ambient temp sensor is in the bumper/grill area where it gets a lot of heat from the radiator etc and not much direct airflow to quickly cool it). But if you are constantly seeing lower intake temp vs ambient, one of your sensors are off.

Front mounts are great though. I saw about 10 degrees over ambient with the factory top mount and now i am 3-4 degrees over ambient with the front mount.

Dude, for one, isn't that 'intake temp' on your AP the Air Box temp right at your filter anyway?
Not the actual intake manifold temp post intercooler?

Or do the 19's have different placed sensors than my 16?

and yeah, it cools it below ambient? nice!

The AEM flows more than the Cobb. Whether it's worth it or not is debatable. I never liked the noisy Cobb box, though the design is efficient.

The Cobb is loud for sure. My tuner told me the AEM doesn't flow as good as Cobb. I cretin he hasn't seen the re design for the 18-19 sti.

I have MAF logs that show the AEM flows more than the cobb on my 17 sti. My tuner thought the same thing.... He even sent me the log and I had to point out to him that the flow was higher on the AEM.

Again, not significant but ....
