They are made in the USA - have used them before with no issues.

![]() im kinda doubting that they are made in america..... but honestly Ihad a coil issue and it sounds judt like what you are descibing. no CEL or anything but it sputtered like when I tried to step on the gas and actually boost. went through that for about a year til I got tired of it and changed all the coils with OEM nthen it went away

![]() LOL - I have to agree with you there. Just went and checked the boxes - surprise surprise...made in china.
How the *** do these companies get away with this BS is beyond me. Perhaps the box was made in the US ? - After dropping 2K on the turbo and TMIC, I went cheap on coils - my bad, I should have known better. When they fail - they will be replaced with the OEM ones. |

![]() Good evening. Sorry to bring this back to life but.. I have a 1995 impreza WRX which is a Japanese import, it had a hks FCD fitted which caused loads of issues so I removed it and it's running much better than it was (was fuel cutting at 0.5 bar!) It also has a electronic boost controller fitted which I have figured is nackered so have removed it and just looped the actuator and turbo direct so it boosts at between 0.6 and has spiked at 1.1Bar in 4th/5th gear where the ecu cuts the fuel and u end up head butting the windscreen!.... the car idles lovely has only done around 100k it has a FMIC and a straight through turbo back exhaust... the issue I'm getting recently is there is what looks to be a red light that looks like an exhaust cat that comes on the dash after hard acceleration in 4th/5th gear where it tends to splutter a little bit and has a loss of power... I have no idea what the light is or what it means, there is an aftermarket lambda sensor in the down pipe from the turbo as it has just been made to fit the original loom.... could this cheap lambda sensor be the issue? It only starts running crappy when it's warm and in 5th gear in wot and the red light comes on.... sorry for the long description but I've been scratching my head for days over this issue it's driving me mad
![]() Cheers guys! |

![]() My car was stuttering around 2500rom or any time you stepped on the throttle hard. I thought I cleaned the maf. But apparently you can take it apart and clean inside it. Not just the test drop. This fixed the issue

![]() Did any of you solve this issue? I can't get past 10psi boost. No leaks; double sure. Starts bucking at WOT and won't reach target boost. Changed back to oem bcs and got 15psi then it reverted right back to same bucking, shuddering problem.

![]() This just happened to me. My coils went bad right at the start of the cold weather and I replaced them with new plugs and problem solved. I was having bucking at WOT as well as a flashing CEL at one point, the car ran fine otherwise. I would start there.

![]() sig and Innkeepr thanks for the replies! I have a set of coil packs and spark plugs somewhere. I'll try that.
UPDATE: YES! Yes... that was it for me. Thanks again guys. Replacing the coils and plugs cleared all issues including not reaching target boost, bucking at WOT, and occasionally stuttering. Aside from that the car ran perfect. That is why I waited so long to check the coils and plugs. Also, I never had ANY check engine lights or misfires codes. So glad to have my 'car' back!
