only 300 hp to move a 2+ ton beast? Doesn't seem worthy of the "RS" badge. Even Ford only badges their fast crossover as ST.

And for just a little more money you can get an SQ5 and cut a second off of your 0-60 time, and you don't have to sit in a GM interior when spending almost 50K... The Germans have this market under lock right now.

I was just looking, you can get a new 2018 Jag SportBrake for $46k, did I say new? And could probably talk them down from there. We're talking new at $73k.

better off finding a new 2018 edge sport for 35-57k its lighter and quicker than the new ford st. then throw a tune on it

Yeah, I like what they did around the headlights but everything else is meh.. Especially the rear profile for some reason reminded me of the old Aztek..

Just another CUV to compete with the Murano. Boring.

Since the early 90's the "RS" badge on a GM vehicle (specifically the Camaro) has always been an appearance package. The Gen 3 Camaro RS came with a V6 instead of the V8. So changing the appearance on a Blazer to make it look more sporty is in line with what they've done. I think even back to the 60's and 70's the Camaro RS was the ground effects / aero package. To get the power you had to get the SS, hence the existence of the RS/SS variants.

For what it's worth the V6 Blazer RS will have the better AWD system. It gets the GKN Twinster and GM have actually asked for a functional "sport" calibration from the AWD system and the brakes. This thing is a lot of fun on a winter handling course.

The interior does not look good. Things look as if they were thrown together at the last minute....."Crap, we don't have any more room for the push button start. Where should we put it? How about waaay up here ...... People like vents all the way at the bottom of the dash, right?"

Yeah, I was mistaken... thinking of SS, not RS. Too much cross-contamination with these performance trim monikers.

Not really. You just have to know the brands. If you’ve never cared about American brands why would you know these differences or should know these differences?
