Is your pump hardwired? If you're getting a pressure drop like that, I'd probably start with the factory FPR. I've seen quite a few fail over the years... Two in the last couple months with customer cars, and I do this as a side gig. They also made things like hot starts seem more like a -20 cold start with constant cranking.

Not too bad, especially for a piggyback.
you still doing cobb ap? want to set something up to tune my car once i get everything in and buttoned up?

Only noticed this since flashing carberry rom as I fitted the filter and under bonnet gauge at the same time.

Did you replace the stock FPR's that failed with standard or go aftermarket?
On the last 2 cars, one was a factory replacement the other was already an aftermarket, but then replaced with a better aftermarket part. He ended up with an Aeromotive... I can't remember what the previous was. I tried way too many maps before pointing at hardware, knowing it wasn't a tune issue after the 2nd or 3ed map.

I can do AP's and can definitely work with you on a good map. If you're wanting to move forward with one, just send me a PM. Just understand that although I can get close on the cold start, it may take a few tries to get your car as good as the video I posted... But I'm pretty good at getting it down pretty quickly as long as I have good feedback.

Is this for the Forester you picked up?

I for carberry I just increase cranking fuel 50% over the gas tables. Only time I have issues is when car sits and battery drops to 11ish volts and cranks too slow

Thanks.

It was also one of a few weight saving mods. I keep around 50ml of water in their just in case the boys in blue pull me over and check my windscreen washers....lol

Not that it would matter if they checked under the bonnet because the nanny state I live in only allows one intake tract mod.

OK. I feel like an idiot for posting about my fuel pressure drop.

Liquid filled turbosmart under bonnet gauge gets hot, pressure inside gauge increases and the gauge reading decreases. This is my 6 - 7 psi pressure drop. I only ever used this gauge twice tee'd on feed to check base pressure before, but never left it on there long enough to notice this.

Didn't think to vent the gauge to reset it.

My ignition on, fuel pump prime went from 29 psi to 43 psi today after venting.

What fuel pressure senders are e85 compatible?......looking for an in cabin gauge that won't crap out a sender.

Happy New Year!

I saw a video a while back of them impounding trucks down there for illegal lift kits and stuff. Im suprised how strict they are. I think SEMA might have some lobbyists and maybe a lot to do with how we can mod in the States. I built my car in my garage, got it title and registered and can literally put any engine i want to in it.

Your Exotruck is so far off the chain that there is no chain....lol

Last time I checked in my state you couldn't even do an engine conversion anymore.

I have an old Holden Gemini (4cyl isuzu) sitting in a paddock and a 13b sitting in the garage that i wanted to fit into it, but couldn't get it registered.

I am running stock fuel lines, ID1300s, Radium FPR and Cobb Flex fuel.

basically had to run a new line from the firewall to this filter, which uses -6AN on the end. I bought some -6AN to 5/8 hose barb from Summit Racing. 1 90 degree and 1 45 degree. Then I ran the hoses and clamped them using fuel clamps.

My buddy and I made a "Custom" bracket out of some aluminum, and Silicone Intakes sells a bracket for fuel pumps that you can just bolt to a firewall if you wanted. so i used one of those. its solid as hell.

Just watched this video. While its not apples to apples, it shows MBT on gas and ethanol are about the same as far as ignition timing. Maybe even less timing on ethanol. The e85 advantage being that you can reach MBT in knock limited areas that you cant on gas, giving the illusion e85 "needs" more advance than gas.

2015 STI

Mods:
-COBB Cold Air Intake
-COBB EBCS
-COBB Catted DP
-Borla S Type Catback
-IAG Street Series AOS
-NGK One Step Colder Spark Plugs
-AEM 320 Fuel Pump
-ID 1050X Injectors
-COBB Flex Fuel Kit
-COBB Fuel Pressure Sensor
-COBB Fuel Pressure Regulator

Majority installed and tuned by TPG Tuning.
Mustang Dyno:
315WHP and 351WTQ on e70 blend
295WHP and 310WTQ on 93
Tuned at 19.5 PSI.

I've had the tune done for about 6 weeks now. I've exclusively filled up with e85 with the exception of one tank on a longer drive where I couldn't find any. I average E73-76 most of the time from one gas station that is close by me.

Personally I think the car pulls great, love it. That corn is addictive for sure especially compared to the noticeable difference from filling up once on 93.

My question for you guys is do you think my numbers look a bit low? I mean like I said, I think the car pulls pretty strong especially compared to the Stage 1+ OTS Map I was running up until my protune, but compared to a lot of other numbers I've seen on this page they seem a bit low. Just curious what you guys thought. Thanks!

those numbers are solid for that setup. especially on a mustang dyno

Remember the numbers themselves don't mean much, unless you baselined here

Most stock STi's baseline around 200 whp on a mustang dyno. so you have gained 115 whp over a stock setup

a stock STi will dyno 220 to 240 whp on a dynojet, so take the numbers from other with a grain of salt

He said most stock STIs baseline around 215 to 220 on their mustang dyno. So probably more of right around a 100 whp gain. But Fair. I knew dynojets read around 10% higher on average so I know to take those numbers with a grain of salt but figured it was worth asking what some others thought.

They seem good. I made 319/338 in that dyno a few years ago running 21psi with a vf43 on corn.

ya and it could actually go up a bit as you get closer to e85 in the tank (probably never get higher than e80 though from pump). Flex fuel tunes are a blend of two maps. at e70, the volumns only up like 85%
