2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i
Hello all,
I have been searching and cannot find any good answer. I am trying to find out whether or not a full exhaust from a 2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS will fit directly on a 2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i. The items I am looking at are as follows: UEL Headers and Hi-Flow Cat:https://www.ebay.com/itm/TSUDO-1997-...53.m1438.l2649 SR.S Catback Exhaust:https://www.ebay.com/itm/SR-S-SUBARU...8AAOxyFiRRyhYt Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!!

I believe that the exhaust manifolds changed after 05. That was the last year the RS’s had nice simple SOHC motors without MAF’s and other extra sensors.
So to answer, I’d say no. Best bet would be to find a stock one from an 07 and see if it fits yours. |

The reason I would be wanting to change it from the stock 07 is that I want it to have the rumble. The stock 2.5i doesn’t have the rumble. |

If you are after the rumble on an 06/07 then check out this video. They take a WRX header and modify it to fit with the rest of the system. It does require welding and some fabrication though. |

There’s also this video where the guy bought the 97-05 headers and hi flo cat and they bolted right up. |

If I’m not mistaken aren’t the 05 RS and the 07 2.5i the same engines?

From what I understand he bought the cat by itself (circled red) and then had custom piping made (blue) so that it would bolt up to the 97-05 headers. To be able to use these headers you need to have the cat/midpipe pointing to the side of the car like in this picture of my car which is an Australian Spec 2006 Impreza 2.0i and has the same configuration as a 97-05. This means you have two options either make a custom midpipe/cat section like in your video to fit the 97-05 headers or modify some WRX headers to bolt up to your factory midpipe. |

In this video he doesn’t say anything about having to modify anything but his existing midpipe.

EDIT
Sorry turns out I might be wrong I didn't check the link to the cat in the first post If you order both of those parts you may still have to make some modifications after the cat as the SR*S is probably compatible with the stock cat rather than the aftermarket one. |

You should be right though because the TSUDO is compatible with the stock catback and the SR*S is compatible with the stock header.

Before looking for the transmission, trim. You can get a haircut here https://menshaircuts.com/pompadour-hairstyle/. After all, the better haircut, the better the car goes.
