![]() ouch!!!! u get too close to a semi or something? there has gotta be a story behind that!
ok, for bumper since rare, you may have to jimmy your old one or repair from the backside. same with retrofitting the headlight.. I know they have come down in price a bit but still expensive. what happened to the grill? ur car looks pretty spotless, wow.

![]() Wow! really sorry to see this. My suggestion is get it quote from the adjuster instead of getting it repaired from an insurance agency shop. Just have them cut you a check and you purchase all the parts.
I wouldn't rely on the insurance company to match all the JDM pieces you need. Good luck I hope to see her up and running soon. |

![]() I hit a deer in my forester, and just had the body shop give me a quote on fixing it. My insurance cut me a check, then I went and bought all the JDM front end pieces to replace the stock stuff.

Ugh, so sorry to see this! My favorite bugeye sedan on Nasioc. ![]() But, could have been worse! At least the wheel is OK? In terms of insurance, our insurance told us to keep any receipts for aftermarket parts added and they would take care of it(within reason I suppose). Hoping they can help you at least a little. |

![]() After doing a little closer inspection, somehow the hood avoided getting damaged.
The drivers headlight mounting points are broken off (all three locations), so that is in need of a replacement. The wiring harness/ballast will need to be replaced as some parts didn't survive. The bumper is cracked in a couple of spots, probably can be fixed but not 100% sure. the fog light cover is cracked as well, will have to be on the lookout for another one of those. The JDM bumper beam is damaged as well, not sure sure how bad as I don't want to take it apart yet. The wheel appears to have avoided damage, I will want to take it to a shop to confirm that it's straight. The Prodrive grill, the mounting tab on the driver side pulled part of the grill with it, probably can repair that from the backside. |

![]() Swapped out the STi Version 7 grille for an STi Prodrive grille to match the bumper. Got some "jdm-style" 50/50 tint installed, too.

![]() Heard back from the insurance and I am getting enough money that I should be able to replace all my parts.
![]() Now the fun part of trying to track some of these parts down. Anyone know of a drivers side fog cover and/or MC fog for sale? eBay has some of the true covers, but I need one of the fog light ones. https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho...rodrive+bumper |

![]() I would actually argue that the DEPO headlight lenses may be a bit more durable than than JDM ones... albeit nothing looks as good as JDM black chromes TBH.

![]() I have the halogen versions, so a bit cheaper than the HIDs, but still not too crazy for a JDM style unit.
I can tell you the wiring and connector quality isn't that great on the DEPOs. Especially the main 3 pin connector (the big blue one). I also actually had the low beam ground wire burn up on one of them because the blade terminal connection shook loose (not off, just not tight). I cant imagine how bad an even cheaper headlight must be ![]() |
