Camped up on a fire road in Big Sur this weekend. Handled the rutted track like a champ, even on Nokian Hakka R2's, but made me decide that a small lift, 15's, and some Grabbers are needed. More to come...

I absolutely love your lifted WRX. I am contemplating getting a WRX and lifting with the 2" ADF kit as well this winter. I need the extra ride hight for getting in and out due to some back issues and would love to get a little off road at times. The light bar is a great touch as well. Would love to see how the build has been holding up and what the hight from the ground to the seat bottom.

Been a while since ive been here. Couple years ago i was on 17s and blown suspension. Got new struts and BBS wheels off of a neon srt4 acr edition (weird right) and had my first rallyx!! I got 4th place in SA class!

New tires mounted for the GF, the old bridgestones aged out and had ZERO grip in the rain...

Added a new spare on the roof as well, I think I need to add something else in front of the tire though. Also need to fill the spare tire well with something thats not a "too small" spare, any thoughts?

Next up... Engine rebuild and some other major surgery to get it back in operating order and re-registered.

I would love to lift my STI up for rally or just off road in general but i live a big city with no good off road opportunities. I don't want to lower my car because of all the potholes and random bumps in the road but lowered STIs, to me anyway look so good. What do you think i should do? Lift or Lower?

Well given you do not appear to have a place to play with a lifted subi I would lower it. Mine is rather low and I find I rarely scrape or touch anything of significance.

I also have a lifted legacy and one bonus you might still enjoy is parallel parking you can just climb up the curb and skip the drive past and reverse process. Lol

They can't clear as large of brakes as the Braids did. I probably should have just powdercoated the braids a different color and kept the larger brake rotors.

Are these the Bronze terras? If so where did you buy them and how recently. I'm having trouble getting and accurate idea of the color as tirerack seems to show a darker bronze while most google image searches seem to show them much less rich (almost more grey). Yours seem to be more like the ones shown on tire rack (I want that richer bronze color).

That bronze was discontinued a couple months ago. The new bronze is listed on Tire Rack now.

I'm getting a 2" lift installed next week on my 2018 WRX. My original plan was to get the new Falken Wildpeak A/T tires in a 225-55-17 installed on my stock rims, but it now looks like those aren't available yet, so, I need to explore plan B and the clock is ticking...

I'm now looking at the Yokohama Geolandar, which seems to be pretty common on the lifted WRX's. If I go with the 225-60-17 I'm concerned I'm going to rubbing issues & I'm not super excited about cutting / trimming. Has anyone used this size on stock rims with a 2" lift?

My other option is 215-60-17. I see people are putting this on the Method 502 8" rim. It seems narrow for an 8" rim though! Also, I'm concerned it may look goofy with the stock wheels 55mm offset. If I go this route I'm thinking of using 10mm wheel spacers. Any thoughts on this combo? I'd to switch out the stock rims for the Methods but I was hoping to avoid dropping the $$$ for the wheels right now.

Any insight and/or personal experience with these options is appreciated!

Nothing specific, but a lot of the Forester guys have gone through this, likely with those wheels too. Check out subaruforester.org in the "Lifted/Off Road" section, you might find some answers there. I lifted 2" on the Forester with a 15" rim but I bought the wheels with custom offset and had to do some modifying of my wheel well to make them not rub with the KO2s.

You can fit 215/60/17 geolanders on your stock 18 wrx rims (17x8). They will be stretched a little bit and you might have search around for a shop that will put them on. I'm sure it is not optimal but if ur saving up for rims later and just want a/t tires for cheap it works. No rubbing with 2" adf but ymmv

Looking for some help in picking a tire size.
2014 Impreza Sport Premium on 205/50-17

I picked up a 1" front lift and 1 3/8" rear lift that will go in soon. I got my hands on some Crosstrek 17" rims and want to go up in tire size, and was looking at the Falken Wildpeak Trails.

My first thought was to just go to OE XV size of 225/55-17
but after playing with calculators, I was thinking the 215/60-17 might fit

Any suggestions?
