![]() After years of waiting, I finally pulled the trigger on another Subaru!
![]() I've owned many performance cars between the WRX and now. GLI, GTI, Cooper S, M235i, C63S, and the C7 GS. Combined with working in Porsche sales for 4 years, I've been fortunate enough to experience many cars under the sun. Many cars are great to drive but none were as special feeling as my 05 WRX. At the end of this season, I listed my Corvette for sale and began the search for the holy grail, a WRX STI. After looking around and speaking with a friend who works at a local Subaru performance shop about the revised 2019 engine, my decision was made to find a 2019 or newer model. I was originally looking for white, but when I saw the crystal black silica it was like love at first sight. After rounds of negotiation, I signed the paperwork for my new STI. I must've looked like a mad man while driving the car home grinning ear to ear seeing the spoiler in my rearview mirror. The car was immediately dropped off at my detailer for paint correction, full front Xpel clear film wrapped and ceramic coated. When I say it looks good, the paint is so damn glossy it should be illegal ![]() Looking forward to the next track season with the car. It'll undergo a host of upgrades to make sure it can handle 20-30 minute tracking sessions. Upgrades will include the killer B oil pickup/oil pan, AOS, oil cooler, intercooler, radiator, brake lines, racing brake fluid, etc (the list is lengthy) Any suggestions on further supporting modifications would be most helpful! Curious to hear from others about their tracking experience with these cars. Anyways, here're the photos! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The old steeds ![]() ![]()

![]() Congrats and welcome back to the family! It's comforting to hear that given your previous lineup of great cars the STI still interests you. The and WRX and STI are my only performance cars I've owned so, I don't have anything to compare them to.
I look forwarded to following your build! |

![]() Congrats!
Note that when it's time to shop for pads, the rear brake pads on that car are a new shape and many of the bigger pad manufacturers (like Hawk) have not yet released rear pads for the car. We do stock track pads from G-Loc. They are one of the few manufacturers making front AND rear pads for the 2018+ STI. Dan Mach V FastWRX.com |

![]() Well welcome back.
I used to own a few performance BMWs, I bought a 2002 WRX and still have it. It now has 79 mods on it. Looking for number 80 as we speak. |
