Agreed, must be one that touches the heavens! In regards to that, plans were sped up quickly, big wang arrives tomorrow.

Picked up from paint, here are some pics of the prodrive bumper and Cwest grill. Didn't even click to me that the front flares extend to the bumper. It's moments like this when you realize how much nicer it is to have a stock body impreza; too late now.

They did man, I was worried at first haha.

Thank you both gentlemen. Over a lifetime, God willing, I'll continue to refine it. I'm at an age where this toy for me is a lifer.

I appreciate it sir. I wish I could say I was "done," lol.

Got some wrench time in this weekend. Turned into a two-day affair. Worth every mishap as the car feels more solid.
  • Right Front Axle
  • Right Side Axle seal
  • All 4 corners - New rotors, pads, brake lines
  • Front Ball Joints
  • Aluminum Front LCAs

A little back story on these images. well, I'd always hear this jingle at low speeds over bumps and I could never narrow it down; at least until this past Sunday. At some point a wrx axle was used with a spacer to keep the axle centered in the hub, insane if you ask me, the prices are not worth the headache. Apparently it never fit snug and it created the illusive jingle I experienced. After a failed first attempt to order an axle quickly via autozone happened, I calle dup the guys at my local store, I was invited to sift through the computer and sort it. Thanks to the helpful guys, I had a special ordered axle from the "performance" side, the proper axle, in my hands Monday afternoon.

Brakes on, pulled the car outside and found signs on the driver front leaking. I meticulously, knowing of sti caliper sensitivity, did this job by hand. Everything was hand threaded and then once seated snugged down. Turns out the brake line was leaking at the banjo & hook joint. FML I thought, as I was trying to go home. The great news was my buddy at G&J aircraft bailed me out just before closing time and made a replacement line.

the culprit

Victory shot

In-between the car, the sicknesses in the family, hospital trips, and minimum days this week for the kids, I was able to relax today. Working on some photog and editing skills. Basically I decided I'd go full rice and play with some tire stickers and new burnt ti lug nuts.

my daughter made this flyer, I asked her to just freestyle something

Had to do some emergency repairs Friday. Thursday I had the car aligned, didn't notice anything out of the norm on the streets, but when I went home that night, I felt a gray cloud looming over me the whole way home. The rear end became spastically loose. Next morning I went to work, armed with all the rear end goodies I had purchased hope to cure "old/slop from old bushings." When I jacked the rear end up, I saw a lateral link bolt holding on for dear life, the only thing stopping it from falling out was the axles boot.

I called the guys that did the alignment and let them know, I also told them I'd be changing all the bushings and returning for an alignment.
  • Perrin lockdown bolts
  • Torque solution diff bushings
  • STI aluminum lateral links
  • STI pink trailing arm
  • JDM rear sway bar

Still was able to make the meet and I'm low key thankful it all happened. The updates to the rear end feel awesome. This week I'll be working on getting the car lower, I'd like to attend cars & coffee at the college my daughters attending, it's being held on the 2nd in riverside.

well, good news and bad news.....turbo's leaking again. I feel it may be time to make the jump to the KB spoolinator setup w/ a new turbo this time around. I can find the failure in the rebuild/kit afterwards. I have plans to swap the vf39 from the spare swap onto this engine for now but I just don't know when I'll have the time.

in other news, excuse the iPhone pics, but I joined the circus and started an IG strictly for the car @elcucuy_sti

I just followed you on IG. Good luck with the spoolinator! It's such a awesomely simple design.

Likewise, I didn’t catch your name? I’m Joel.

I think I’ll wait for the spoolinator + g30 fitment testing to go down. Love what I’ve been reading so far.
